Femto LASIK

In FemtoLASIK, a flap is created in the cornea before laser reshaping. First, a femtosecond laser creates thousands of microscopic bubbles at a precise depth within the cornea, forming a perfectly even flap. The surgeon then lifts this hinged flap to expose the underlying tissue. The excimer laser reshapes the cornea to correct the vision. Finally, the flap is carefully repositioned, where it adheres naturally without stitches. The entire process takes about 10-15 minutes for both eyes.

Trans PRK

TransPRK is an advanced, "no-touch" form of surface ablation. A single excimer laser performs the entire procedure in one step: it first removes the epithelial layer and then immediately reshapes the underlying cornea to correct the prescription. Because no brush, blade, or alcohol touches the eye, it is considered very gentle and may promote a more even healing response. Like PRK, a bandage contact lens is placed on the eye at the end.

Keratoplasty

Corneal transplantation, also known as keratoplasty, is the replacement of a layer or the full thickness of the patient's cornea with a healthy donor cornea. This procedure is performed to treat conditions that cause the cornea to become cloudy, thin, or irregular, such as advanced keratoconus, infectious scar tissue, various types of corneal degenerations and dystrophies, as well as corneal edema and failure following intraocular surgeries.

Laser

YAG PI

This procedure is performed to treat or prevent angle-closure glaucoma. You will sit at the slit lamp after numbing drops are applied. Your doctor will place a special contact lens on your eye to focus the YAG laser. The laser creates one or two microscopic holes in the colored part of your eye (the iris). These holes create a new drainage pathway for the eye's fluid, bypassing a narrow or blocked natural angle. This lowers eye pressure and prevents a sudden, sight-threatening pressure spike (acute angle-closure attack). You may hear a clicking sound and feel a slight pinch or sting with each laser pulse.

Laser

YAG Capsulotomy

This is a quick, painless procedure done in your doctor's office. You will sit at a machine called a slit lamp, much like during a regular eye exam. Your doctor will place special eye drops to numb your eye and may use a lens to focus. The YAG laser is then used to create a small, clear opening in the cloudy membrane (posterior capsule) that sits behind your artificial lens implant. This cloudiness is a common occurrence months or years after cataract surgery. The laser uses focused light energy to vaporize a tiny area of the cloudiness without making any incision. The entire process takes only a few minutes.

Vitrectomy

Vitrectomy is an advanced microscopic surgery for removing all or part of the vitreous humor of the eye. This procedure allows the surgeon to access the retina. Its applications include repairing retinal detachment, removing vitreous hemorrhage, excising scar tissue (epiretinal membrane), treating severe intraocular infections, or removing intraocular foreign bodies.

Surgery

Pterygium Excision

Pterygium is a triangular-shaped growth of connective and vascular tissue that extends from the conjunctiva (the white of the eye) toward the cornea (the clear part). Chronic exposure to sunlight, wind, and dust are contributing factors to its development. In addition to its unpleasant appearance, it can cause significant astigmatism by pulling on the cornea or, in severe cases, impair vision by extending into the center of the cornea.

Surgery

DCR

This procedure is designed to treat acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction in adults. The obstruction causes epiphora, recurrent infections of the lacrimal sac (dacryocystitis), and purulent discharge. In DCR, a new drainage pathway is created between the lacrimal sac and the nasal cavity to allow tears to drain directly into the nose.

Surgery

Blepharoplasty

This surgery is performed to remove excess skin, fat, and sometimes muscle from the upper and/or lower eyelids. The goal of this procedure is to improve the appearance of puffy, sagging, or tired-looking eyes and rejuvenate the periorbital area. Occasionally, excess skin on the upper eyelid can also restrict the lateral visual field, a condition that is corrected through this surgery.
