Farvardin Eye Clinic was founded by university professors who envisioned comprehensive ophthalmology that families could trust close to home.

Milestones that shaped the clinic.

1993

Professional careers begin

Drs. Mohsen and Majid Farvardin joined the faculty of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in ophthalmology, subspecializing in retina and strabismus.

2001

First subspecialty center in Shiraz

They founded the city’s first joint retina and pediatric ophthalmology subspecialty center.

2011

Farvardin multidisciplinary eye clinic

Inviting highly qualified ophthalmologists, Farvardin expanded care across retina, cornea, pediatric and strabismus, glaucoma, and oculoplastics.

2021

Faradid ambulatory surgery center

Dedicated ophthalmic operating rooms, excimer laser suites for refractive surgery, pre-op and recovery areas, pharmacy, and laboratory for the full range of eye surgery.

2023

Research and training

Ongoing collaboration with Shiraz University of Medical Sciences on research, residency and fellowship training, and specialty congresses.

2025

First international branch

Opening of Farvardin Eye Clinic in Basra, Iraq, at Naba Al-Athim Hospital.

2026

AI digital screening platform

Launch of AI-assisted screening for common retinal and glaucoma diseases.
